Treasury Secretary Mnuchin said in a Thursday interview with Bloomberg. The Secretary is not concerned about foreign investment in U.S. debt, with analysts projecting government borrowing will exceed $1 trillion this year.

“There are a lot of ways to have the economy grow, you can have wage inflation and not necessarily have inflation concerns in general.”

No important government data releases are on the calendar.

At 1pm ET look for the Baker Hughes North American rig count release. This report tracks weekly changes in the number of active operating oil & gas rigs.

The week’s corporate earnings announcements close out today with reports highlighted by Potbelly, Royal Bank of Canada, Cinemark Holdings, Cabot Oil & Gas and Geox.
